We are delighted to announce the release of our second book Caws and Colors. A story written by Pallavi Sharma, which bring back fond memories of folklore, and gracefully illustrated by Jyothsna PS, bringing the vivid colors and patterns of Gond Art.
The story revolved around a haughty peacock who thinks very highly of itself. Getting constant admiration from one and all, added to the peacock’s vanity. Until one fine sunny afternoon after days of rains it came across a crow. The nonchalant crow gave two hoots about the existence of the peacock, and that made it quite angry. What happens next, is a story for you to read. So grab your copy from our website, using this link.
In this book, we have also covered ten wonderful species which we find around us. All the species listed in the book can be found around any nice birding spot in your city, away from crowd and more towards silence. Some of them are winter visitors. As Delhi prepares for annual arrival of winter birds, we are all gearing up with our binoculars to see the spectacle, hope your city has its own set of resident and migrants.
At Mosaic words, we believe in Raising Collective Consciousness Through Stories. Through introduction of the species in our books we hope that the reader you would like to learn about the names and photos you come across, and impart the same to your little ones around you. We have covered a few butterflies, insects and some birds in the book. Do let us know if you spot any around you, we would be looking forward to hear from you.
And ending the blog with some feathers, hope you find them to tickle your funny bone… or maybe a good sneeze! Who knows!.. Until next time…
